Search engine optimisation: executing

25 June 2009 - 11:40am |  Patrick Nelson

 Execute

This article is a part of the SEO cycle series of articles.

This is where you carry out the first phase of your search engine optimisation campaign according to the strategies, the goals, and the plans that you've created. This phase tends to last approximately 3 months. Throughout the execution phase, constantly monitor every aspect of your website against the measurements you took whilst assessing the current state of your website. You will want to measure the increase in the number of visitors to your website, any changes in your search engine rankings and the number of conversions you gain. By monitoring the results, you will be able to make adjustments and alterations as you progress if the results that you gain are unexpected or if, for example, you discover that a word you're targeting organically might be reached more cost-effectively under a PPC strategy.
