October 2009 book recommendation: Getting Things Done
Last month we recommended the Social Media Bible - an extremely useful book, but perhaps a little frightening for those who find little time to read! This month we turn to a much thinner book, but in terms of usefulness, just as good.
As a website company we admit, we have in the past had some pretty tough times meeting deadlines. It seems to be a pretty common problem in the industry unfortunately. However, we are determined not to be just another one in the industry, and this book, Getting Things Done - How to Achieve Stress Free Productivity, is really helping us to get organised. In his book, David Allen does not push the reader into one method or another but helps you to work out your own methods of getting highly organised without the stress of trying to mold yourself into someone else's system!
We have found this book easy to read and highly motivating; a good combination when you want some help getting your head above water!
